Australian Education

With more than 1,100 schools and 22,000 courses to choose from, Australia provides a wide variety of study possibilities for overseas students.

The Australian education system provides primary, secondary and postsecondary education through the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF). The AQF is a national policy that shows how qualifications relate to each other at each level of education.

International students can enroll in courses at all levels of education, including elementary and secondary schools, vocational education and training (VET), higher education and English language programmes (including universities).

Australia’s laws support high-quality education and provide protection for foreign students, regardless of what you are studying and how long you are studying it for. This contains the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 200 and the National code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and training to Overseas Students 2007 (National Code). These set forth uniform national requirements for organizations offering instruction and training to students from abroad.
